All these cats were seized by the incompetent ARL confined into cages for months while the newborns were separated from their mothers and died of starvation 5 days later some of the adults died months later from the stresses of shelter living and confinements others died die to the inadequate medical attention to conditions that resulted from shelter living. This photo was taken by the officers at the search and seizure of Ms. Erickson's Watertown apartment were the officers claimed there was no food to bolster their reasons to seize Ms. Erickson's Persians - this photo taken on the time of the seizure of Ms. Erickson's Persians a full bag (20lb and high quality) Iams kitten food. Photos like these taken by the authorities at the time of the seizure were only recently and reluctantly supplied to Ms. Erickson and only after months of repeated, requests did the District Attorney's Office finally release a few photos to Defense Attorney Brownsberger. There are still much that the D.A.'s office is hiding while it refuses to produce and condones the ARL to euthanize Ms. Erickson's Persians.

Ms. Erickson stated for the record "follow the money trail, look at the Animal Rescue League's accounting of their donations as a result of this Watertown issue and the Beacon Hill ruse" "It is estimated the Animal Rescue League has acquired in excess of 10 million dollars in donations alone as a direct result of these two incidences and the publicity that surrounded these seizures." "Currently, the ARL refuses to provide the Division of Public Charities under the auspices of the Attorney General's Office with its required yearly filings and disclosures." "The ARL is defrauding the public and produces these elaborate schemes to attract donors, claiming it "rescues animals" while it euthanizes the greatest number of animals in Massachusetts." "The accounting speaks for itself in 1999, 2000, 2001 & 2002 less then 1% of the donors dollar is spent on rescuing animals. Arthur Slade, the President of the arl has every year awarded himself a payraise of over $75,000.00 dollars. One should ask what really is animal rescuing if as in the arl policy that the animals are euthanized as the eventual result of their intervention. The arl has not only refused to file its required disclosures with the Commonwealth it also refuses to answer requests under the freedom of information act." Ms. Erickson was targeted by the Quasi Nazi Animal Rescue League

Ms. Erickson's was targeted by the animal rights group licensed by the Commonwealth known as the Animal Rescue League (ARL). The ARL has a problem with its accusation that Ms. Erickson has committed animal abuse as no photograph of the 100's that were taken by them of Ms. Erickson's Persians support their allegations. The photographs show the ARL came into a clean apartment, seized animals it knew would or should have known should not be moved. The ARL knew and/or should have known that newborns should not be removed from their mothers, or their nest moved nor touched with dirty leather gloves.

The ARL is miss-named as no organization that euthanizes animals and can act with such gross negligence should have an assocation in its name with the word "rescue". THE ARL WENT FAR ASTRAY FROM THE LIMITES OF THE FRAUDULENTLY ACQUIRED SEARCH WARRANT. My sweet babies being seized, all dead now and days after they were snatched out of their mothers nest by the Animal Rescue League wearing dirty leather gloves. The ARL should have known that you don't handle newborns, and if you have to you are risking their lives and if you have to handle them you don't hand them without sterile gloves and you don't remove them from their mother. The ARL didn't know how to care for a colony of purebred Persians and didn't know how to care for a purebred newborn - this is animal abuse and the ARL should be charged criminally.

On 6/20/03 the Animal Rescue League killed Ms. Erickson's most beloved Persian Fractured Star. The autopsy report indicates that she died of drowning and dehydration. Fractured Star had been in the hands of the ARL for over a month and apparently they denied her water then drowned her. The ARL knew that Fractured Star was Ms. Erickson's favorite Persian as Ms. Erickson listed her on her website as her favorite (ARL used the contents of Erickson's website in its legal argument against Erickson) Fractured Star was very identifiable, she was Ms. Erickson's favorite and she was in very good health and nursing babies at the time she was seized. My beloved Fractured Star was the first adult to be euthanized outside of the newborns as shown hereinabove. The ARL used rubber gloves sometimes with these baby kittens, that didnt even pick up the kitten formula for them that they were used to ingesting. As far as the newborns they were given a death sentence as soon as the ARL picked them up and starved them as indicated in the autopsy reports.
