INCOMPETENT ANIMAL RESCUE LEAGUE COMPLAINT

The Beacon Hill Cat Lady

Ms. Erickson's was targeted by the animal rights group licensed by the Commonwealth known as the Animal Rescue League (ARL). The ARL has a problem with its accusation that Ms. Erickson has committed animal abuse as no photograph of the 100's that were taken by them of Ms. Erickson's Persians support their allegations. The photographs show the ARL came into a clean apartment, seized animals it knew would or should have known should not be moved. The ARL knew and/or should have known that newborns should not be removed from their mothers, or their nest moved nor touched with dirty leather gloves.

The ARL is miss-named as no organization that euthanizes animals and committes such gross negligence should have an assocation in its name with the word "rescue".

The Complaint Ms. Erickson filed against the ARL must have hit a nerve while it accused the Animal Rescue League (a quasi nazi animal rights group) who dislikes breeders and who tries to sell as much overpriced pet services and products to unknowing pet owners, allegedly investigated Erickson's complaint surrounding her neigbor kicking Socrates injuring him enough to send him by ambulance to the hospital. During the fall of fall of 2000 a neighbor of Erickson's, who disliked dogs, especially big dogs like Socrates, kicked him in the front leg wounding him while he was walking upstairs to Erickson's 3rd floor apartment he yelped out a cry after being assaulted. Erickson called for an animal ambulance and required help to carry 132 lb Socrates down the 3 flights of stairs -the Animal Rescue League had a 2 person animal ambulance and they gave discounts to service animals (animals used to accommodate a disability). The ARL vets never claimed Socrates was abused, nor too thin then but did claim he had bone cancer.

As a result of the accident the ARL vets told Erickson Socrates had bone cancer, that is why he is limping "it wasent from a kick" and that his bone cancer would kill him in less then 2 years. They recommended euthanizing him (typical recommendation from a group that believes in euthanazia. The ARL recommended that if Erickson did not treat him with dangerous and expensive radiation and chemotherapy he should be euthanized. Erickson reflects that if she had sent Socrates for this dangerous treatment that treatment would have killed him. She didnt believe that Socrates had bone cancer and requested an investigation of her neighbor kicking Socrates. Officers from the ARL investigated (no they didnt) and concluded that Socrates was not a victim of animal abuse and that his limping was a result of bone cancer and not assault.

Erickson complained that the ALR had misdiagnosed him, and had misconducted an investigation. The ARL just kept saying that Erickson should have him treated with chemotherapy and radiation that averaged ten-thousand dollars, and of course there were no guarentees. The are ARL are known to dislike breeders and Ms. Erickson a known Persian breeder that was not going to get services of a unbiased and trust worthy investigation. Instead they recommended that Socrates undergo dangerous treatment that would have killed him.

The second assault by the ARL was over one year ago, when Erickson was harassed by the quasi nazi ARL who barged onto Erickson's property peeking into her windows crushing her rose bushes and tulips. Erickson's garden apartment had a hugh picture window and overlooking her garden where animal officers trompeled her flowers and accused her of having birds flying around her apartment. Ms. Erickson had collected 5 large bird cages and lined them atop her book shelves waiting for someday to purchase male canaries one for each cage and one cage for each room. When Erickson found her flowers trompled she called to complain and then found that the officers had complained to her about the birds. What birds? Ms. Erickson amended her complaint to include incompetant investigations and destruction of property (flowers) The President of the ARL directed his officers to apologized to Erickson and that is when the ARL made their plan to completely destroy Erickson's reputation, her cats and her life including all her property.

THE ARL WENT FAR ASTRAY FROM THE LIMITES OF THE FRAUDULENTLY ACQUIRED SEARCH WARRANT. My sweet babies being seized, all dead now and days after they were snatched out of their mothers nest by the Animal Rescue League wearing dirty leather gloves. The ARL should have known that you don't handle newborns, and if you have to you are risking their lives and if you have to handle them you don't hand them without sterile gloves and you don't remove them from their mother. The ARL didn't know how to care for a colony of purebred Persians and didn't know how to care for a purebred newborn - this is animal abuse and the ARL should be charged criminally.

On 6/20/03 the Animal Rescue League killed Ms. Erickson's most beloved Persian Fractured Star. The autopsy report indicates that she died of drowning and dehydration. Fractured Star had been in the hands of the ARL for over a month and apparently they denied her water then drowned her. The ARL knew that Fractured Star was Ms. Erickson's favorite Persian as Ms. Erickson listed her on her website as her favorite (ARL used the contents of Erickson's website in its legal argument against Erickson) Fractured Star was very identifiable, she was Ms. Erickson's favorite and she was in very good health and nursing babies at the time she was seized.

My beloved Fractured Star was the first adult to be euthanized outside of the newborn baby kittens that the ARL starved as indicated in the autopsy reports. The uncompassionate Federal District Court Judge Nancy Gertner must be an animal hater as she could have prevent the murderous actions of the Animal Rescue League from killing and destroying the lives of Fractured Star, Beamer, Cuddles, China Princess, Kisses, My Love, Precious, Sweet Pea, Marquette, and 10 other newborn kittens.

My beloved Fracture Star you will never leave my heart, you will remain there forever.
